Setting Up Email Accounts In Cpanel

Setting up new email accounts in cPanel is very easy, so don't be intimidated.

  1. Login to your cPanel account (http://yourdomain.com/cpanel)
  2. Enter your cPanel username and password that you were assigned when your account was set up.
Now you are logged into cPanel where you will see a section labeled "Email".  Within that section you will see  an icon called "Email Accounts" - click it.

You will now find yourself inside the screen that lists all existing email accounts, and also provides you with a tool to create new ones. So...

  1. Enter the email address as you want to create (i.e. info, support, juan, cguevara)
  2. Enter a password of your choice (or use an auto-assigned one). The stronger the password (see the strength gauge) the better.
  3. Enter a mailbox quota. This is measured in MB. Just use the default setting if you are not sure.
  4. Now click the create button.
Ta-daa!  You did it!

Now you should see a confirmation screen that the email account was created. It's as easy as that!

The confirmation screen (after you set up your email account in cPanel) also contains some handy links that let you download a small program that will automatically configure Outlook or Outlook Express to use communicate with the email account you just set up. We Think This Is Great.
